The Montclair Bike Action Plan

In February 2005, Bike Montclair presented a Bicycle and Pedestrian Action Plan to the Town Council. This Plan for a more bicycle and pedestrian-friendly Montclair was created with a $100,000 NJ Dept. of Transportation Grant which we were awarded. Click on “Start Slideshow” below to see the plan for all the work on Phase One. All the Phases and the complete report are available as a download by clicking below.
We’re soon going to see a safer North/South corridor on Grove and Elm streets - a wide shoulder on each side of the road that will make an area for cyclists to bike safely, similar to the shoulders on Ridgewood Avenue in Glen Ridge.

We are still in the early phases of implementing our Bike and Pedestrian Plan... update here! shapeimage_2_link_0
