Montclair HAS GOTTEN SUBSTANTIAL funding from the NJDOT for an upcoming Safe Routes to Schools project at Rand School, which did a pilot project last November. Here’s the Rand Final Report that was developed.

The statewide announcement of $15 million in federal grants to NJ was made at a major press event at Rand School on October 24th. Montclair was chosen as the place for the announcement because of the efforts of Bike Montclair, our participation in a pilot program and our town’s efforts to help make our town bicycle and pedestrian-friendly.

Bike Montclair played a key role on the Township’s SRTS Task Force including assisting with the Rand School SRTS Demonstration Program, The Rand School SRTS Grant Application and a town-wide SRTS grant application. - (zip file).
